Does anyone else find it strange how much Tumblr champions LGBT rights/justice and then simultaneously fetishizes male homosexuality into oblivion?

Like every other male celebrity who is even vaguely affectionate with another is immediately “OMG SO TOTES GAY” (which is beyond offensive on so many levels). Girls will talk about how much they want to have a gay son, or that they wish two men who may or may not even be gay (and are certainly not together) were their dads? Because…they’re gay.

I mean, it’s nice to vote for things like gay marriage, non-discrimination acts, etc when the time comes for it and be a vocal supporter of equal rights, I get that

But talking about men’s private sexual lives (regardless of orientation) as ~*~so adorable~*~ strictly because you imagine them together with another man, and because you think two men are incapable of even hugging without some implied sexual subtext?

Are people on this site aware that gay men are just normal human beings and not some kind of Chuck E Cheese tickets you will eventually cash in for games and prizes?
